Brad Smith DunkCrusaders will go on to play the Mansfield Giants in the Playoff quarter finals. Crusaders have played Mansfield twice this season, losing both times in close games.

In November, before coach Vear took over as head coach of Crusaders, the game was close for 25 minutes, before the Giants made a run in the third quarter. Down 10, 78-68, Crusaders scored 12 points in the last minute, behind seven points from James Harris, and made it a five point game, but the Giants hit five of eight free throws to preserve the lead and take the victory, 88-80.

In February Crusaders were up for most of the game in Mansfield, but had to concede a narrow two point loss in the last minute.

Coach Vear is happy with the playoff position: “If you had said we would end the season 6th when i took over with no wins and six losses I would have definitely taken that. As the guys know we never rest on a win and we know we will have to play even better if we want to beat a very good Mansfield team in the playoffs”
