Crusaders reach last 16 of National Cup
The Medway Park Crusaders shook off a three game losing streak to beat in-county rivals Sevenoaks Suns by 35, 92-58 and get into the last 16 of the National Cup. The game featured ex-Crusader Steve Findley in his new Suns uniform and set up a meeting with ex-Crusaders star Robbie Parker and his Division 1 winning teammates in Reading in the next round.
Academy Demolish Coulsden
The Crusaders Basketball Academy based at The Canterbury High School picked up their third consecutive win in the British Colleges Elite Division as they thrashed Coulsden College 88-36. A dominating defensive performance was the key to victory, which was acheieved despite 4 of their top 8 players (Kalil Irving, Gary Noakes, Dave Tait and Ryan Palmer) not being available.
The Crusaders Basketball Academy based at The Canterbury High School picked up their 2nd win in the British Colleges Elite Division on Wednesday defeating West Kent College. This means they are 2 for 2. The game ended in the third quarter in bizarre circumstances as West Kent’s coach Joel Moore decided to forfeit the game and leave part way through.
