Without superstar Omar “OJ” Reed the Medway Park Crusaders couldn’t close out their game against the visiting Team Northumbria. Up by 8 with two minutes to go Crusaders saw the lead vanish into thin air and then lost the game in overtime.

The Medway Park Crusaders lost their last chance of securing a guaranteed promotion spot as they lost OJ Reed in the second quarter of their away match against second place Tees Valley Mohawks. Reed suffered a bad ankle sprain in the second quarter in the second quarter of the match, and despite Crusaders making the match competitive they could not get over the hump and take the win without their American superstar.

The Medway Park Crusaders had an easy time against the Birmingham A’s on Saturday as James Harris became the career leading scorer for Crusaders. Harris’ achievement was the most interesting event of a game that was more or less decided within the first four minutes.
